CVE-2026-41928
MediumCVSS 5.3Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk34th percentile - higher than 34% of all known CVEs
Summary
Vvveb before version 1.0.8.2 contains an information disclosure vulnerability in the cron controller that allows unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the application's secret cron key. Attackers can access the cron controller without authentication and retrieve the exposed secret key from the response, enabling them to trigger scheduled task execution outside of the intended schedule.
Risk Assessment
The risk is that an unauthenticated attacker can take control of the cron job schedule, potentially leading to unauthorized task execution, disrupting application functionality, or exploiting it for attacks.
Recommendation
It is recommended to immediately upgrade Vvveb to version 1.0.8.2 or later, which fixes this vulnerability. Additionally, restrict access to the cron controller to trusted IP addresses or implement additional authentication.
