Summary

Vulnerability in Oracle VM VirtualBox (component: Core) affecting version 7.2.6. An easily exploitable flaw allows a high-privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure to compromise VirtualBox, potentially leading to unauthorized access to critical data.

Risk Assessment

A high-privileged attacker could gain access to confidential VirtualBox data and potentially impact additional products (scope change). However, it requires logon to the infrastructure, limiting the attack vector.

Recommendation

Update Oracle VM VirtualBox to a version later than 7.2.6 that includes the fix. Restrict local access to the VirtualBox host infrastructure to trusted administrators.
