Summary

A flaw was found in the org.keycloak.broker.saml component. When a disabled SAML client is configured as an IdP-initiated broker landing target, it can still complete the login process and establish an SSO session. This allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to other enabled clients without re-authentication, bypassing security restrictions.

Risk Assessment

The organization is at risk of unauthorized access to applications protected by Keycloak, potentially leading to data confidentiality breaches and privilege escalation without administrator awareness.

Recommendation

Immediately update Keycloak to a patched version and review SAML broker configurations to ensure disabled clients are not used as landing targets.
