Summary

A vulnerability in Keycloak allows authentication through a disabled Identity Provider (IdP) by reusing a previously generated login request. An attacker knowing the IdP alias can bypass the administrative restriction and gain access.

Risk Assessment

The risk involves unauthorized authentication through a disabled provider, undermining access control enforcement and potentially leading to security breaches.

Recommendation

Immediately update Keycloak to a patched version and verify IdP configurations to ensure disabling a provider effectively blocks authentication.

Original NVD description (English source)

A security flaw in the IdentityBrokerService.performLogin endpoint of Keycloak allows authentication to proceed using an Identity Provider (IdP) even after it has been disabled by an administrator. An attacker who knows the IdP alias can reuse a previously generated login request to bypass the administrative restriction. This undermines access control enforcement and may allow unauthorized authentication through a disabled external provider.
