Summary

The Admin Custom Login plugin for WordPress up to version 3.6.4 is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and those where unfiltered_html has been disabled.

Risk Assessment

The risk includes user session hijacking, data theft, and site compromise. However, the attack requires administrator permissions and specific conditions, limiting prevalence.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to the latest version. Also consider enabling unfiltered_html only for trusted users.

Original NVD description (English source)

The Admin Custom Login plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
