Summary

The hiWeb Migration Simple plugin for WordPress up to version 2.0.0.1 is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) via the 'new_domain' parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. An unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary scripts that execute when an administrator clicks a link.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could hijack an administrator session, steal data, or perform unauthorized actions within the WordPress admin panel.

Update the hiWeb Migration Simple plugin to the latest version (above 2.0.0.1) or apply temporary mitigations such as filtering the 'new_domain' parameter.

Original NVD description (English source)

The hiWeb Migration Simple plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'new_domain' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.0.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick an administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
