CVE-2026-24013
CriticalCVSS 9.1Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk33th percentile - higher than 33% of all known CVEs
Summary
An authentication bypass vulnerability via spoofing has been found in Apache IoTDB. Thrift RPC query handlers do not properly validate the sessionId parameter, allowing an attacker to forge requests and receive query results without authentication. Affected versions are from 1.3.3 before 2.0.8.
Risk Assessment
The risk involves unauthorized reading of time-series data, potentially leading to data leakage and system integrity compromise.
Recommendation
Upgrade Apache IoTDB to version 2.0.8 immediately. Additionally, review authentication settings and monitor logs for suspicious requests.
Original NVD description (English source)
Authentication Bypass by Spoofing vulnerability in Apache IoTDB. Certain Thrift RPC query handlers lack strict validation of the sessionId parameter. An attacker can construct requests with a forged sessionId and, without performing openSession authentication, receive valid query results. This allows authentication bypass and unauthorized reading of time-series data. This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.3.3 before 2.0.8. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.8, which fixes the issue.
