Summary

GitLab EE versions from 18.9 before 19.1.7, 19.2 before 19.2.5, and 19.3 before 19.3.1 have a vulnerability that allows an authenticated user with developer role to execute arbitrary commands in a CI context. This occurs through the Claude agent processing configuration from a user-controlled source.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with developer permissions can execute arbitrary commands in the CI environment, potentially leading to infrastructure compromise or data leakage.

Recommendation

Update GitLab EE to version 19.1.7, 19.2.5, or 19.3.1. Restrict developer permissions and monitor CI activities.
