CVE-2026-1728
CriticalCVSS 9.8Summary
Tokens issued to a low-privileged user are not sufficiently restricted, allowing them to be used to access product-level Admin REST APIs. A low-privileged user can invoke Admin REST APIs of WSO2 products.
Risk Assessment
Exploitation can lead to full administrative account takeover. The attack requires the attacker to already possess a low-privileged user account and obtain a valid token for it.
Recommendation
Restrict token privileges for low-privileged users to prevent access to Admin APIs. Implement appropriate access controls.
