Summary
The IRIS web application in version 2.4.26 and possibly others contains a logout functionality which is ineffective. Stolen session cookies can therefore be misused for a long time.
Risk Assessment
An attacker who obtains a session cookie (e.g., via XSS or interception) can maintain access to the victim's account for a long time, even after logout.
Recommendation
Fix the logout mechanism to invalidate session cookies server-side and use short session lifetimes.
