CVE-2026-16438

CriticalCVSS 9.4
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Mitsubishi Electric products (GENESIS64, ICONICS Suite, Hyper Historian, AnalytiX, MobileHMI, MC Works64) versions 10.97.3 and prior contain an incorrect privilege assignment vulnerability. Installers grant default DCOM permissions to the administrator account, allowing an attacker to locally or remotely launch and operate DCOM objects that should require UAC elevation.

Risk Assessment

The vulnerability could lead to disclosure, tampering, destruction, or deletion of internal information, or cause a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. Organizations using these products are exposed to attacks using the administrator account.

Recommendation

Update products to the latest versions or apply vendor patches. Restrict DCOM permissions for the administrator account and monitor unusual DCOM activity.
