Summary

A flaw was found in the keycloak-services component, the core engine of Red Hat Build of Keycloak, where sensitive configuration values such as reCAPTCHA secret keys are not masked when requested by administrators with view-only permissions. This can lead to the exposure of third-party service credentials to unauthorized personnel or through administrative logs.

Risk Assessment

The risk involves potential leakage of sensitive credentials for third-party services, which could allow an attacker to take control of those services or use them for further attacks against the organization.

Recommendation

It is recommended to immediately update Red Hat Build of Keycloak to a version containing the fix for this vulnerability and restrict access to the authentication configuration endpoint to trusted administrators only.
