Summary

The WP Foodbakery plugin for WordPress up to version 4.9 contains an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in the delete_locations_backup_file_callback function. Authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access can delete arbitrary files on the server, potentially leading to remote code execution (e.g., by deleting wp-config.php).

The risk is high as an attacker can delete critical configuration files, potentially leading to full compromise of the WordPress server.

Recommendation

Immediately update the WP Foodbakery plugin to the latest version. Temporarily restrict subscriber-level user permissions.

Original NVD description (English source)

The WP Foodbakery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the 'delete_locations_backup_file_callback' function in all versions up to, and including, 4.9. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
