Summary
The WordPress Infinite Scroll – Ajax Load More plugin up to version 7.0.1 is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when users access affected pages.
Risk Assessment
An attacker can inject malicious JavaScript that executes in other users' browsers, potentially leading to session theft, defacement, or further attacks. This vulnerability affects only multi-site installations and those where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
Recommendation
Update the Ajax Load More plugin to the latest available version immediately. For multi-site installations, consider restricting administrator privileges and enabling unfiltered_html if feasible.
