MediumCVSS 5.3Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk3th percentile - higher than 3% of all known CVEs
Summary
The LA-Studio Element Kit for Elementor WordPress plugin before version 1.6.1 does not check whether user registration is enabled on the site before creating an account through one of its unauthenticated AJAX actions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to register new accounts even when registration has been disabled site-wide.
Risk Assessment
The organization may be flooded with fake user accounts, increasing the risk of social engineering attacks, spam, or privilege escalation if accounts gain access to sensitive features.
Recommendation
Immediately update the LA-Studio Element Kit plugin to version 1.6.1 or later, which includes a fix that prevents account creation without checking site registration settings.
