Summary

n8n before 1.123.85, 2.43.5, and 2.44.1 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability. Member users can use credentials they cannot access by omitting default node parameters, causing decrypted credential values to be sent to attacker-chosen destinations.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can exfiltrate other users' credentials and gain access to connected systems. This may lead to unauthorized actions on behalf of the victim.

Recommendation

Update n8n to version 1.123.85, 2.43.5, 2.44.1 or later. Review user permissions and restrict workflow execution by low-privileged roles.
