Summary

The Events Made Easy plugin for WordPress in versions up to and including 3.3.1 is vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting via the 'width' parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. An authenticated attacker with contributor-level access or above can inject arbitrary scripts that execute when a user visits the injected page.

Risk Assessment

Injected scripts can execute in users' browsers, enabling session theft, account takeover, or other actions in the victim's context.

Recommendation

Update the Events Made Easy plugin to a version later than 3.3.1. Until then, restrict contributor roles and review content for suspicious scripts.

Original NVD description (English source)

The Events Made Easy plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'width' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
