MediumCVSS 5.4
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Exploitation Probability (EPSS)

Low risk
0.34%

27th percentile - higher than 27% of all known CVEs

Summary

Psono Server (CE and EE) versions 1.0.0 through 7.2.3 did not enforce the direction of file-transfer credentials on file-repository operations. An authenticated attacker with read-only access could present a download transfer to the upload endpoint, obtain a signed upload URL for an attacker-selected object key, and append a chunk to the owner's file.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can upload or overwrite repository objects and consume storage, compromising data integrity. Exploitation is subject to transfer size, chunk-count, and lifetime limits.

Recommendation

Update Psono Server to a version later than 7.2.3. Implement file integrity controls and monitor for unusual write operations.
