CVE-2026-116066
MediumCVSS 6.8Summary
Firecrawl before 2.11.586 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the Playwright service SSRF proxy that allows attackers to bypass isInternalHost checks via DNS rebinding. Attackers controlling DNS for a scrape target can return a public address during validation and a private address at connect time, retrieving cloud metadata and internal resources through the scrape API.
Risk Assessment
An attacker can reach internal resources and cloud metadata, potentially leading to disclosure of credentials and escalation.
Recommendation
Update Firecrawl to 2.11.586 or later and re-validate addresses after DNS resolution while blocking private addresses.
Other vulnerabilities in Firecrawl
See all- CVE-2026-72904Critical
Firecrawl prior to version 2.11.32 contains a critical arbitrary file read vulnerability in its extraction functionality due to unsafe dereferencing of user-supplied JSON schemas. An authenticated attacker can supply a malicious schema with a $ref, allowing file reads from the extract worker filesystem and SSRF against internal or external HTTP endpoints.
- CVE-2026-32857High
Firecrawl version 2.8.0 and prior contain a server-side request forgery (SSRF) protection bypass vulnerability in the Playwright scraping service where network policy validation is applied only to the initial user-supplied URL and not to subsequent redirect destinations. Attackers can supply an externally valid URL that passes validation and returns an HTTP redirect to an internal or restricted resource, allowing the browser to follow the redirect and fetch the final destination without revalidation.
