CVE-2026-112775

HighCVSS 7.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Craft CMS from 5.0.0 before 5.11.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows attackers to reuse verification codes because users/verify-email does not invalidate them for active users. Attackers who obtain a victim's emailed code can submit it to users/set-password after the victim verifies an email change, resetting the password and taking over the account.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with access to the victim's verification code could reset the password and take over the account, potentially leading to unauthorized access to the panel and data. The risk applies to Craft CMS 5.x installations with email verification enabled.

Recommendation

Update Craft CMS to version 5.11.0 or later. Enforce strong authentication and monitor for unusual password resets and email address changes.
