Manipulation of the img_url/image_url argument can lead to server-side request forgery, and the attack can be launched remotely.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can remotely exploit SSRF to send requests to internal resources, potentially disclosing information or enabling further attacks. The attack complexity is high and exploitability is difficult.

Recommendation

Plan migration to API v2, which includes destination IP validation, redirect re-checks, and timeout and size limits. API v1 will be removed in the next major release.
