Summary

TTLock Android application before v9.8.260718 and associated smart-lock firmware contain a hardcoded static AES key that lets an attacker within Bluetooth range decrypt the per-pairing session key transmitted during BLE pairing. Attackers can observe the pairing exchange, recover the persistent session key, and forge authenticated BLE requests to unlock the device, add fingerprints or access codes, and perform administrative actions without authentication or user interaction.

Risk Assessment

A person within Bluetooth range can gain unauthorized physical access to protected areas and modify lock credentials. This poses a serious threat to physical security and access control.

Recommendation

Update the TTLock app to v9.8.260718 or later and update lock firmware to a version that removes the hardcoded key. Until patched, limit reliance on TTLock locks in high-risk areas.
