CVE-2026-111629
MediumCVSS 4.3Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk16th percentile - higher than 16% of all known CVEs
Summary
IoTSharp through 3.6.1 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability that allows any authenticated user to read other tenants' data because Customers and Devices API handlers do not scope queries to the caller's tenant. Attackers can self-register through the anonymous AccountController.Create endpoint and supply other tenants' GUIDs to read customer contact details, device inventories and device attribute telemetry.
Risk Assessment
Cross-tenant confidentiality breach — leakage of customer contact details, device inventories and telemetry. In a multi-tenant environment this can lead to personal data exposure and GDPR violations.
Recommendation
Upgrade IoTSharp beyond 3.6.1 once available and enforce caller-tenant scoping in the Customers and Devices API handlers. Until a fix is released, consider restricting API access or disabling anonymous registration.
