CVE Catalog

CVE-2026-111382

HighCVSS 8.8
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

FreeRDP before 3.32.0 contains a client-side heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in general_LumaToYUV444 and general_ChromaV2ToYUV444. A malicious RDP server can send RDPGFX AVC444 or AVC444v2 frames with odd-height region rects ending at surface height, causing writes past the U/V planes.

Risk Assessment

The vulnerability allows corruption of client heap memory, potentially leading to crashes or arbitrary code execution in the context of the RDP client process. Connecting to a malicious RDP server is sufficient to trigger the attack, making it easy to exploit.

Recommendation

Update FreeRDP client to version 3.32.0 or later. Until patched, avoid connecting to untrusted RDP servers.
