Summary

JobOps through 0.13.1 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the POST /api/manual-jobs/fetch handler that allows authenticated users, or unauthenticated clients in demo mode, to make the server fetch internal destinations. Attackers can supply loopback, private, or cloud metadata addresses in the url field to read returned page content, disclosing instance metadata and internal service data.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can reach internal services and cloud metadata, leading to leakage of infrastructure information. In demo mode the vulnerability is accessible without authentication, increasing the risk.

Recommendation

Upgrade JobOps beyond 0.13.1 if available and validate the url field by blocking loopback, private, and metadata addresses. Disable demo mode in production and restrict the server's network permissions.
