CVE-2026-111146
MediumCVSS 6.1Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk2th percentile - higher than 2% of all known CVEs
Summary
ytnef through 2.1.2 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in MAPIPrint() that allows attackers to read past heap allocations by supplying compressed RTF properties. Attackers can deliver a crafted winmail.dat whose decompressed RTF lacks a NUL terminator.
Risk Assessment
This can crash ytnefprint and leak adjacent heap bytes.
Recommendation
Update ytnef to a version containing the fix or avoid processing untrusted winmail.dat files.
