CVE-2026-110102
HighCVSS 7.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk2th percentile - higher than 2% of all known CVEs
Summary
Powerlevel10k through 1.20.0 contains an insecure download vulnerability in the gitstatus/install script that disables TLS certificate verification with curl -k and skips integrity checks when no SHA-256 utility exists. Network-positioned attackers can intercept the github.com mirror request and substitute a malicious archive, which runs as the gitstatusd daemon under the user's account on every prompt.
Risk Assessment
Attackers can execute arbitrary code in the user's context, leading to full account compromise and potentially the entire system.
Recommendation
Update Powerlevel10k to a version later than 1.20.0 if available, or manually verify the integrity of the downloaded archive. Also avoid using the install script on untrusted networks.
