CVE-2026-109229

HighCVSS 7.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

SGLang through 0.5.21 contains a denial of service vulnerability that disables Pillow decompression bomb protection by setting Image.MAX_IMAGE_PIXELS to None in NanoNemotronVLImageProcessor. Remote attackers can submit small, highly compressed images with huge dimensions, exhausting worker memory during decoding.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can cause service disruption by exhausting process memory, leading to denial of service.

Recommendation

Update SGLang to a version newer than 0.5.21. Restrict image uploads to trusted sources and configure image size limits.
