CVE Catalog

CVE-2026-109227

HighCVSS 7.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

SGLang through 0.5.21 contains an unbounded memory allocation vulnerability in preprocess_video in qwen_vl.py that decodes frames at full source resolution before applying max_pixels limits. Remote attackers can submit high-resolution videos to /v1/chat/completions on Qwen-VL deployments, and concurrent requests exhaust worker memory causing denial of service.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can exhaust memory and crash the Qwen-VL service, preventing other users from using the API. In production environments this means service outages and potential operational costs.

Recommendation

Upgrade SGLang to a version newer than 0.5.21 if available, or enforce size and resolution limits on uploaded videos at the reverse proxy level. Consider limiting concurrent requests to the /v1/chat/completions endpoint.
