CVE-2026-108336

CriticalCVSS 9.1
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

When the default self-signed certificate is used, an attacker could gain administrative access to the application. The SSL certificate for the web interface is used to sign JWT access tokens that validate that the user is logged in; with the default certificate, an attacker could sign JWT access tokens and bypass login. An attacker could gain administrative access and perform actions like configuring the service or requesting log collection; device credentials and customer data cannot be accessed with this vulnerability.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can bypass login and gain administrative privileges, allowing changes to service configuration and log collection requests. Although device credentials and customer data are not directly at risk, compromise of the administrative panel may lead to further attacks.

Recommendation

Replace the default self-signed certificate with a unique, trusted SSL certificate for the web interface. Also rotate the keys used to sign JWT tokens and verify that no unauthorized access occurred.
