CVE-2026-106174
HighCVSS 7.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk21th percentile - higher than 21% of all known CVEs
Summary
An improper locking vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS 8.0.0 and FortiOS 7.6.4 through 7.6.6 may allow an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the device to cause a denial of service of the HTTPS management interface via crafted HTTP requests.
Risk Assessment
An attacker can remotely disrupt the HTTPS management interface, preventing administrators from managing the device and potentially disrupting network operations. This requires only network access to the device.
Recommendation
Update FortiOS to a version containing the fix or restrict network access to the HTTPS management interface to trusted addresses. Monitor management interface availability for anomalies.
