CVE-2026-106039

MediumCVSS 6.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Mooncake Store through 0.3.13.post1 has a missing authorization vulnerability allowing unauthenticated attackers to create, steal, and falsely complete replication tasks via the coro_rpc port. Attackers can invoke CreateCopyTask, CreateMoveTask, FetchTasks, and MarkTaskToComplete with victim client UUIDs disclosed by QueryTask to hijack task queues and record replication that never occurred.

Risk Assessment

Attackers can take over replication tasks, potentially leading to data integrity compromise or system disruption.

Recommendation

Update Mooncake Store to a version newer than 0.3.13.post1. Additionally, implement authorization mechanisms for the coro_rpc port.
