CVE-2026-10526
MediumCVSS 5.8Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk13th percentile - higher than 13% of all known CVEs
Summary
The EmbedPress WordPress plugin before 4.6.1 does not validate user-supplied URLs before making server-side requests through unauthenticated endpoints. This allows unauthenticated attackers to induce the site to send HTTP requests to internal hosts and services that WordPress core URL validation does not cover (a blind Server-Side Request Forgery).
Risk Assessment
The risk includes access to internal network resources, potentially leading to discovery of sensitive services, attacks on internal systems, or privilege escalation.
Recommendation
Update the EmbedPress plugin to version 4.6.1 or later, and implement additional server-side URL validation.
