CVE-2026-105052
HighCVSS 7.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk48th percentile - higher than 48% of all known CVEs
Summary
IBM Maximo Application Suite 8.10, 8.11, 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system.
Risk Assessment
The risk includes unauthorized access to system files, potentially leading to disclosure of sensitive data or further attacks.
Recommendation
It is recommended to apply patches provided by IBM and implement mechanisms to block "dot dot" sequences in URL requests.
Other vulnerabilities in IBM Maximo Application Suite
See all- CVE-2025-36386Critical
IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.0.0 through 9.0.15 and 9.1.0 through 9.1.4 could allow a remote attacker to bypass authentication mechanisms and gain unauthorized access to the application.
- CVE-2026-18533Medium
IBM Maximo Application Suite - Location Service for Esri Component versions 9.2, 9.1, and 9.0 is vulnerable to improper input validation due to an unsanitised container image configuration in a Kubernetes operator template.
- CVE-2026-18531Medium
IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.2, 9.1, and 9.0 could allow a remote attacker to tamper with session data due to the use of a weak HMAC session signing secret.
- CVE-2026-15656Medium
IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.2, 9.1, and 9.0 does not set the secure attribute on authorization tokens or session cookies. Attackers may be able to get the cookie values by sending a http:// link to a user or by planting this link in a site the user goes to. The cookie will be sent to the insecure link and the attacker can then obtain the cookie value by snooping the traffic.
