HighCVSS 8.0
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

The Search Regex plugin for WordPress version 3.5 is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection via deserialization of untrusted input in the replace_all function. An authenticated attacker with subscriber-level access or higher can inject a PHP Object, and the presence of a POP chain allows code execution.

Risk Assessment

An authenticated attacker with low privileges can execute arbitrary code on the server, leading to full system compromise.

Recommendation

Update the Search Regex plugin to a version later than 3.5 or disable it; consider restricting privileges of users who can use the replace_all function.
