CVE-2026-104769

MediumCVSS 5.9
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

The Debloat – Remove Unused CSS, Optimize JS plugin for WordPress in versions up to and including 1.3.0 is vulnerable to Directory Traversal via the 's' parameter. An authenticated attacker with administrator-level access can read arbitrary files on the server, and when the Optimize CSS feature is enabled, an unauthenticated visitor can trigger the attack with a single crafted GET request.

Risk Assessment

Potential leakage of sensitive server data, including configuration files and credentials. The risk is elevated because with the default Optimize CSS configuration the attack requires no authentication.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to a version later than 1.3.0 or disable the Optimize CSS feature until a fix is applied. Verify whether any unauthorized file reads have occurred.

Original NVD description (English source)

The Debloat – Remove Unused CSS, Optimize JS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.0 via the 's' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Exploitation requires that the site administrator has enabled the Optimize CSS feature (with the default Inline Google Fonts option active), but once that condition is met the attack is trivially triggered by an unauthenticated visitor with a single crafted GET request to the public search URL.
