Summary

YesWiki before 4.6.7 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Bazar FileField, which validates only the upload's file extension and never calls HtmlPurifierService::cleanFile. SVG files are stored verbatim and served inline as image/svg+xml, allowing authenticated users to upload SVG files containing script that executes in the wiki origin when opened.

Risk Assessment

An authenticated user can upload a malicious SVG file that, when opened, executes JavaScript in the wiki context, leading to session or administrator account compromise. This can result in full wiki compromise.

Recommendation

Upgrade YesWiki to version 4.6.7 or later. Restrict SVG uploads and consider sanitizing files before storage.
