CVE-2026-104080

HighCVSS 8.4
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Control Web Panel (CWP) before webpanel_version 1.30 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the loopback API /valid_token/ route. Unauthenticated attackers can execute arbitrary commands as root by injecting shell metacharacters into the unvalidated 'user' parameter, which is passed unescaped into a shell_exec() call.

Risk Assessment

An unauthenticated attacker can gain full control of the server as root, meaning complete system compromise. The risk includes data theft, malware installation, and further escalation.

Recommendation

Immediately update CWP to version 1.30 or later. Restrict access to the loopback API and check the system for signs of exploitation.
