CVE-2026-103875
MediumCVSS 4.7Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk23th percentile - higher than 23% of all known CVEs
Summary
The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'search-string' parameter in all versions up to and including 3.42 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Unauthenticated attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute if they can trick a user into performing an action such as clicking a link. Exploitation requires a publicly accessible page with an [mla_gallery] shortcode configured with pagination output mode and an mla_link_href template reflecting a {+request:...+} token, along with enough attachments to trigger pagination.
Risk Assessment
Can lead to execution of malicious JavaScript in a victim's browser after clicking a crafted link, risking session theft and account takeover. However, it requires user interaction and a specific gallery configuration.
Recommendation
Update the Media Library Assistant plugin to a version later than 3.42. Until then, avoid gallery configurations with pagination and a template reflecting a {+request:...+} token.

Original NVD description (English source)
The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'search-string' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.42 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Exploitation requires the targeted site to have a publicly accessible page containing an [mla_gallery] shortcode configured with a pagination output mode and an mla_link_href template that reflects a {+request:...+} token, along with enough attachments to trigger pagination.
