CVE-2026-103480

MediumCVSS 6.4
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

The Tourfic – AI Powered Travel Booking, Hotel Booking & Car Rental plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'type' parameter in all versions up to and including 3.0.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user visits an injected page. The wp_kses_post filter does not strip the payload because angle-bracket characters are not required, letting the unescaped attribute value survive storage and fire as a live event handler in the unauthenticated (guest) rendering branch.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with a contributor account can persistently inject malicious JavaScript into site pages that executes for every visitor, including guests and administrators. This can lead to session theft, redirects, or account takeover.

Recommendation

Update the Tourfic plugin to a version newer than 3.0.1 as soon as it is available, and in the meantime limit the number of contributor-level accounts and monitor for unusual page content changes.

Original NVD description (English source)

The Tourfic – AI Powered Travel Booking, Hotel Booking & Car Rental plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'type' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The wp_kses_post filter applied on save does not strip the payload because angle-bracket characters are not required, allowing the unescaped attribute value to survive storage and fire as a live event handler in the unauthenticated (guest) rendering branch.
