Summary

The Walletdoc Payment Gateway for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 1.8.5 does not properly sanitize and escape user input before using it in a SQL statement, and verifies its payment webhook with a signing secret that is empty by default, allowing unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL injection attacks and to mark arbitrary orders as paid.

Risk Assessment

SQL injection attacks can lead to full database compromise, including leakage of customer data and passwords. The ability to mark orders as paid without payment can cause financial losses.

Recommendation

Update the Walletdoc Payment Gateway plugin to version 1.8.5 or later, which includes sanitization and escaping fixes and requires setting a strong signing secret. Immediately configure the webhook signing secret.
