CVE-2026-101357

MediumCVSS 4.9
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

The SEOPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'seopress_google_analytics_matomo_id' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 10.2. An authenticated attacker with subscriber-level access or above can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user visits the injected page.

Risk Assessment

A low-privileged attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in visitors' browsers, potentially leading to session or data theft. It requires an administrator to have delegated Analytics management capability to the Subscriber role.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to a version newer than 10.2 when available, and revoke the delegation of Analytics management capability to the Subscriber role if not necessary.

Original NVD description (English source)

The SEOPress – AI SEO Plugin & On-site SEO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'seopress_google_analytics_matomo_id' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 10.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires an administrator to have delegated the Analytics management capability to the Subscriber role via the plugin's Advanced > Security settings.
