Summary

SODOLA SL902-SWTGW124AS firmware before 200.2.12 contains a buffer overflow in the embedded HTTP server's Content-Type header parser. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send an oversized boundary value in a POST request, causing the device to become fully unresponsive and dropping management access and traffic forwarding.

Risk Assessment

The attack causes complete unavailability of the switch — halting traffic forwarding and losing administrative access, which can paralyze the organization's network.

Recommendation

Update the device firmware to version 200.2.12 or later. Until then, restrict access to the management interface to trusted networks.

Original NVD description (English source)

SODOLA SL902-SWTGW124AS firmware before 200.2.12 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending an oversized boundary value in the Content-Type header of a crafted POST request. Attackers can exploit the embedded HTTP server's multipart/form-data boundary parser to cause the device to become fully unresponsive — dropping all management access and traffic forwarding during its self-recovery cycle.
