Summary

The Professional Contact Form plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to and including 1.0.0. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the watch_for_contact_form_submit function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to trigger test email sending via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into clicking a link.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can trick an administrator into unintentionally sending test emails, which could be used for phishing or spam. The risk is moderate but may undermine site trust.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to a version newer than 1.0.0 or remove it if not used. Apply nonce fixes if available.
