CVE-2025-8890

Critical
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Firmware in SDMC NE6037 routers prior to version 7.1.12.2.44 has a network diagnostics tool vulnerable to shell command injection attacks. To exploit this, an attacker must log in to the router's administrative portal, which by default is reachable only via LAN ports.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with LAN access could achieve remote code execution on the router, potentially leading to full device compromise and network traffic interception.

Recommendation

Update router firmware to version 7.1.12.2.44 or later. Restrict access to the administrative portal to trusted devices only.
