Summary

The YITH WooCommerce Quick View plugin for WordPress (all versions up to and including 2.7.0) is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's yith_quick_view shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. An authenticated attacker with contributor-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser, potentially leading to session theft, redirects, or other actions in the context of an authenticated user.

Recommendation

Update the YITH WooCommerce Quick View plugin to a version newer than 2.7.0. Consider restricting content publishing capabilities for low-privilege users.
