Summary

LibreNMS <= 25.8.0 contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Alert Transports management functionality. The Transport name field value is stored and later rendered in the Transports column of the Alert Rules page without proper input validation or output encoding, leading to arbitrary JavaScript execution in the admin's browser. This vulnerability is fixed in 25.10.0.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with privileges to create Alert Transports can execute malicious script in the context of the administrator's browser, potentially leading to session hijacking or unauthorized actions. The risk affects organizations using LibreNMS for network monitoring.

Recommendation

Upgrade LibreNMS to version 25.10.0 or later. Until patched, restrict the ability to create Alert Transports to trusted administrators.
