Summary

When an iRule is configured on a virtual server via the declarative API, upon re-instantiation, the cleanup process can cause an increase in the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) memory resource utilization. Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

Risk Assessment

This may lead to memory resource exhaustion and system instability, potentially causing service disruption.

Recommendation

Update the software to the latest supported version and monitor TMM memory usage, especially during frequent iRule reconfiguration.
