CVE-2025-27712
MediumCVSS 5.7Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk2th percentile - higher than 2% of all known CVEs
Summary
Intel(R) Neural Compressor software before version v3.4 contains improper neutralization in Ring 3 (user applications) that may allow privilege escalation. The attack requires an authenticated user, local access, and active user interaction.
Risk Assessment
An authenticated local attacker could exploit the vulnerability to escalate privileges, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability to a low degree. User interaction is required.
Recommendation
Update Intel Neural Compressor to version v3.4 or later. Restrict local access to systems running this software to trusted users.

See all- CVE-2026-20913Medium
Improper input validation in Intel(R) Neural Compressor software before version v3.7 may allow an escalation of privilege. An unprivileged attacker with an authenticated user and a low complexity attack may enable privilege escalation. The attack requires local access, no user interaction, and may impact confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- CVE-2026-20906Medium
Protection mechanism failure in Intel(R) Neural Compressor software before version v3.6 may allow an escalation of privilege. An attacker with a privileged user and a low complexity attack may enable privilege escalation. The attack requires local access, passive user interaction, and may impact confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Original NVD description (English source)
Improper neutralization for some Intel(R) Neural Compressor software before version v3.4 within Ring 3: User Applications may allow an escalation of privilege. Unprivileged software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable escalation of privilege. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires active user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (low), integrity (low) and availability (low) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts.
