Summary
IBM OpenPages 9.0 and 9.1 is vulnerable to information disclosure of sensitive information due to weaker than expected security for certain REST endpoints used by the OpenPages user interface. An authenticated user is able to obtain certain information about system metadata for areas beyond what the user is intended to view.
Risk Assessment
Confidentiality breach — an authenticated user can access system metadata they are not authorized to view, potentially facilitating further attacks or revealing system structure information.
Recommendation
Apply available IBM OpenPages updates for versions 9.0 and 9.1. Review user permissions and restrict access to REST endpoints where possible.
